I’m Alastair, a scientist and lawyer living and working in London. I live with my wife and young son and daughter in the suburbs and work in the centre of the city.
This is all due to change in a few months as I embark on training as a priest in the Church of England. It’s been a long road up to this point, and a long road lies ahead too. Can’t wait to see where it leads!
This blog contains my musings, rantings, ravings and other -ings, usually on a Christian theme.
Enjoy.
Alastair, I see you are an ordinand. You’d be most welcome to visit Burton if you need a bit of non-metropolitan experience. I have three churches, two of great beauty and size inc the civic church (Modwen’s), one smells and bells (Paul’s), the other two (Modwen’s and Aidan’s) various degrees of middle of the road. St Modwen’s is the only church in town that offers unadulterated unembarrassing C of E canonical worship inc BCP Mattins monthly – this might or might not be your scene, but the church is slowly growing.
Fr Stanley, thanks for your message. I’ve emailed you! Alastair
